Promoting the 2020 TypeCon Conference with a brochure, nametag, and t-shirt
Typecon is an annual conference presented by the non-profit Society of Typographic Aficionados (SOTA). SOTA is an international organization dedicated to the promotion, education, and support of typography and the arts. The 2020 Conference took place in Cleveland, Ohio and the theme was Futurista, originating from the Futurism art movement, that occurred in the early 20th century. It started in Italy and focused on technology, machines, industrialism, and violence. Important Futurists were Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Carlo Carrà, Fortunato Depero, Gino Severini, Giacomo Balla, and Luigi Russolo. Throughout the brochure, I integrate elements inspired by the Futurist artists such as upside-down type and full color type bleeds behind the body copy.
