I find joy in helping others as it gives me a sense of belonging within a kind, warm community of amazing people. Serving on the board for AIGA Cleveland allowed me to help the creative community feel connected as I provided them with resources to grow and develop personally and in their careers. I enjoyed seeing people come together and leave events with something valuable, whether it was learning a new term in the industry or making a friend. :)

It Sucks to Be a Junior Designer Event (04/2023)
Responsibilities:
– Led panel discussion among four Cleveland design professionals
– Created and collected questions to ask panelists
– Collaborated with graphic designer by providing creative direction and constructive feedback for social media graphics
– Wrote graphic and social media content
– Designed and printed icebreaker cards

Challenges:
– Had difficulty finding panelists as several people had a conflict with the date/time of the event
– One of the microphones went out during the event so we all had to share one microphone

– The majority of attendees were college students, which was the main audience my committee and I were targeting

The Key to Design Thinking Event (02/2023)
Responsibilities:
– Wrote graphic and social media content

– Brainstormed ideas with the committee for the "How Might We" question

- The number of Eventbrite registrants who attended increased by 20% compared to events from 2022
- Instagram posts reach increased by 250% compared to prior event social media posts

Responsibilities:
– Developed a list of potential speakers and reached out to them
– Created social media content and graphics
– Led virtual event over Zoom
